FEATURE ARTICLES

HARBORSIDE RESERVATIONS NOW BEING TAKEN
Steelhead is expanding! Reservations for land in what will be the beautiful new Harborside sim project are now being taken and a map is available for viewing at Town Hall. Don't miss out! Contact TotalLunar Eclipse for more information.

HARBORSIDE STREETS AVAILABLE FOR NAMING
Name Harborside's streets! Sheriff Ortega has set out a map with the streets numbered. Please drop him a notecard with your street name suggestions. "Hoooo Boulevard" is not an option.

STEELHEAD HAS AN OFFICIAL FLAG!
Despite votes for colors other than the two offered, the citizens of Steelhead have chosen! October 30 will now be Steelhead Flag Day as the blue version of the flag, originally designed by Darien Mason and improved upon by Baron Wulfenbach, was selected.

WATCH YOUR PRIMS!

The overall prim count is becoming a bit scarier than some of the things that happen at the Bloodwing Foundation. Please remember to try to keep your prim count as low as possible and pick up a prim counter map (only 2 prims!) at Town Hall.

A NEW LOOK FOR THE BAY
Was it a red tide? An algae bloom from beyond? In late October, the waters of the Bay took on an unusual shade of lava. "Don't walk in it...swim in it...or drink it," said Lumina Elvejhem. "It will not feel nice and the fish are probably dead. Actually, don't fish in it either." Many were surprised that the dolphin seemed to be fine with it.

UPCOMING VETERANS/REMEMBRANCE DAY MILITARY EVENT
On November 17, please join us in Steelhead as we will be honoring veterans and the military with exhibits, small displays and camps, parades, a horse race, and a military ball. Some events will be specifically targeted to the Civil War and Armistice Day (since November 11 is Veteran's Day and the 23rd is Remembrance Day for Gettysburg). Steelhead will be having a ceremony as we erect a cenotaph/unknown soldier monument as well. Poppies and wreaths are available at Rosehaven Recipes. For more information, please contact organizers Hawc DeCosta or Dominic Roffo.

TOWN HALL CONSTRUCTION IN PROGRESS
The town hall is getting a new look! TotalLunar Eclipse is currently working on creating a new town hall building with meeting space, offices, and a new jail for the Sheriff. He "says" that this will be his last build. No word yet as to where the jail's resident rat will be relocated.

STEELHEAD IN THE NEWS
The successful Steelhead/Caledon Harvest Festival was featured in a very nice article on p. 14 of the Metaverse Messenger. Congratulations to the organizers and winners of the various contests who were mentioned!

RESIDENT NEWS

Tensai Hilra at a recent town meeting

Darien Mason and CeAire Decosta have been appointed as a Steelhead Councillors.

Mr. & Mrs. Hawc and CeAire Decosta now live where Taiyou once stood.

Let us give a hearty "Hoooo!" welcome to new residents Krystine Qinan and Remington Pinion, as well as retailers E.Laval Fine Clothing and Affordable Elegance.

Congrats to Lord Edward Pearse, Earl of Primbroke, who celebrated his first Rez Day on October 13, and TotalLunar Eclipse and Tensai Hilra, who celebrated theirs on Oct 29.

In other resident news, Sheriff Ortega shocked us all as he retired his "trademark" gray and burgundy and has started wearing a new outfit!

OTHER NEWS

Dr. Jeremiah Mason on the loose

SHERIFF'S BLOTTER

One of Steelhead's longest-running local dramas has been that of the Bloodwing Foundation, which gives him plenty to handle at times. The Anvil asked the Sheriff about recent events:

Sheriff Ortega: "I let the Mason family handle the situation, although I did get a kick out of trying to get Jeremiah angry."
Darien Mason: "I'm still trying to figure out why my face melted..."
S.O.: "Did you look in the Ark? Indy said not to look!"
D.M.: "Nope. My father spat tea at me."

A WORD FROM OUR RESIDENT ZOMBIE, AzA Zymurgy:
"Brains"

All Steelhead Anvil editorial inquiries and submissions may be sent to Eladrienne Laval via notecard inworld.
